June came and went with no banquets on my schedule, so off to the chapter meetings in Chehalis, Wash., Winthrop, Wash., and Auburn, Wash. The weekend of June 15-17 was the Montana State Workshop. What a great time with about 20 committee members in attendance along with Miles Moretti and Ray Crow from MDF headquarters in Utah. The group was given a great presentation from Montana’s game department on how chapter rewards have helped them on their saturation patrols to help stop poaching.

On July 21 I was in Ontario, Ore., for their fourth annual banquet and fundraiser. Jeff and Debbie Jefferies and the rest of the committee did a super job. Although the gross dollars were down, the net was up along with the net:gross.

On July 28 I was at the first ever Chehalis, Wash., chapter banquet. This was a great event, and you never would have known it was their first. Thanks to John Massett and crew for all of the hard work.

My August starts off on the ninth when Auburn will have their second annual fundraiser, then on August 25 both Winthrop, Wash., and Missoula, Mont., have their events. I will have the best RD substitute in my wife Judy at the Winthrop event, while I am in Missoula.
