With only two months to really plan for an event, the Las Vegas chapter whipped up an exceptional banquet. Two days prior to the banquet only 68 dinner tickets had been sold. But by banquet date, June 30, 95 people had purchased tickets. Although this banquet was small for their first one, a good time was had by all. Doug Nielsen, the local outdoor writer, was the guest speaker. Doug kept the group laughing with his humor and wit. A big THANK YOU goes to Les Ohlhauser for coming from Colorado to be the auctioneer. The banquet netted over $13,000. The committee has already set the date for April of next year and is hard at work to make next year’s event even better. If you would like to volunteer, please call Gary Murphy at 702-204-9406.
