Midway USA Underwriting MDF Volunteer Recognition and Life Member Event at WHCE

Midway USA has agreed to underwrite the MDF Volunteer Recognition and Life Member event at the Western Hunting & Conservation Expo (WHCE) on Sat., Feb. 13, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will now be FREE to all MDF regular members and Lifetime Members. If you have already paid, we will give you raffle tickets or you can just have your $25 be a donation to MDF.

Please let other MDF members know this, and help us get the word out. If you register online for the Expo at www.hunt.expo.com this event is listed as the MDF 10th Annual Convention Celebration.

If you are only coming for this one event, you can call Rachel at the MDF National Office 801-47-3344 and register. Please don’t just show up, as we’ll need a headcount prior for food, seating, etc.

MDF puts $1.5 million on the ground for Mule Deer in 2009

Mule Deer Foundation President and CEO Miles Moretti announced on Dec. 7, 2009, that MDF has once again put over $1.5 million dollars on the ground in 2009 to enhance and conserve mule deer and black-tailed deer habitat throughout the western United States.

The money was raised through the sale of state wildlife auction and raffle tags, local fundraising banquets, along with corporate and private donations. Despite the economic downturn, MDF has been able to exceed project funding goals for 2009. More ...

Plumas County, Calif. – The winner of the Plumas County Chapter rifle raffle for the 2009 Banquet Gun of the Year was Vince Short of Greenville, Calif. Congratulations to Vince and a big thank you to all ticket buyers who made this a successful raffle for the Plumas County Chapter!

Laramie, Wyo. – The Snowy Range Chapter held its fall 2009 firearm raffle drawing on Dec. 5, 2009, at Albany County Fairgrounds.The winners are Clark and Rhonda Guenther.

Torrington, Wyo. – The Goshen Rim Chapter held its fall 2009 firearm raffle drawing on Nov. 20, 2009. The winner of the Howa .229 Predator Rifle with Scope and accessories was Boyd Anders of Parker, Colo.

Greeley, Colo. – The Northern Front Range conducted its fall 2009 Two Gun Raffle on Oct. 11, 2009, at Bass Pro Shops in Denver:

He was successful in harvesting a fantastic mule deer on Dec. 1, 2009. He was guided by Doyle Moss of Mossback Adventures. This fine specimen is from the Utah general season Southern unit.

Colorado

Denver, Colo. – Enter the drawing to receive a “Hunt Of A Lifetime” with the 2010 Colorado Statewide Pronghorn License and 2010 Colorado Statewide Deer License.

The deer drawing will be held at the Bass Pro Shops in Denver, Colo., on Sun., June 27, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. (Deer order form must be received no later than by 06/25/10.)

The pronghorn drawing will be on Sat., June 26, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. at Sportsman’s Warehouse in Grand Junction. (Pronghorn order form must be received by 06/24/10.)

New Mexico

Santa Fe, N.M. – For the seventh consecutive year the Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) is selling tickets and conducting a raffle for the New Mexico Lt. Governor’s Deer Enhancement License. Assisting the New Mexico Dept. of Game & Fish with this effort is the MDF Northern New Mexico Chapter of Santa Fe, N.M.

The drawing will take place on June 30, 2010 at 12:00 noon at the New Mexico Game & Fish Office in Santa Fe, N.M.  The deadline for receiving payment and ticket orders via USPS mail or  e-mail is June 26, 2010. Only phone orders with credit card may be made after June 26, 2010 by calling Scott Hampel at 720-261-6232.

North Dakota

Bismarck, N.D. – North Dakota chapters of the MDF are once again selling raffle tickets for a chance at the ONLY Statewide Muley Buck Tag in the state! Numerous rifles in your caliber of choice, a Crooked Horn Outfitter Package and a MDF Knife will also be given away. A maximum of 2,000 tickets will be sold, and the raffle is open to both N.D. residents as well as non-residents! Tickets are one for $10 or three for $20. Drawing will be held April 3, 2010, at AMVETS.

Wyoming
