Idaho Wolf Tag Auction

If you would like to bid on an Idaho Wolf Tag for the 2009 season, you can submit an e-mail bid for either tag number 000003 or 000008. Idaho is offering a total of ten wolf tags for auction to conservation groups.

The successful bidders will be notified by e-mail or phone. Each bidder must be eligible to purchase an Idaho hunting or combination license and the relevant tag. The tag is valid for use in any open hunt in 2009. All “Regulations Governing the Taking of Big Game Animals” in Idaho apply to eligible and successful bidders. The successful bidder may designate the Special Idaho Gray Wolf Tag to one individual qualified to hunt in Idaho. The winning bidder must designate the hunter on an affidavit immediately following the auction, and the affidavit needs to be sent to the Idaho Department of Fish & Game or its agent. The designee must be legally able to be licensed under current Idaho laws and rules.

Each successful bidder will be issued an Idaho Gray Wolf hunting tag with serial number 000003 or 000008, and they will also receive a special framed Commemorative Idaho Gray Wolf Tag for display purposes. Idaho proclamations allow only one wolf tag per person per calendar year; successful bidders should exchange their unused wolf tag for a Wolf Conservation Auction Tag if they already purchased a tag.

Bidders must submit their name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Successful bidders may make their payment by cashier’s check, money order or credit card. Credit card charges will be subject to an additional 3% fee. Payment must be within five days of purchase.
