Mule Deer Foundation Partners with ‘Skull Bound TV’

Winning Combination with Jana Waller and the MDF

Conservation is an important component of each episode of “Skull Bound TV.” Show host Jana Waller and Producer Jim Kinsey are excited to announce their partnership with The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF).

“The MDF exemplifies the undeniable fact that hunters are true conservationists who care passionately about their environment. It’s a message that is missed on most outdoor programing today,” stated Waller.  In 2013, the MDF will celebrate 25 years of protecting and conserving not only mule deer and its habitat, but also all wildlife. “They’ve already protected more than a million acres of mule deer habitat and spent nearly 30 million dollars for conservation and we are thrilled to be able to get kind of message across to our viewers,” said Kinsey.

“Skull Bound TV” will feature a bigger bolder second season, starting Wed., Jan. 2, 2013, on The Sportsman Channel. The show appears in the popular prime time Wednesday “Big Game Night,” beginning at 8:30 p.m. and again at 11:30 p.m. EST, and with a repeat at 9:30 a.m. EST on Fridays. “Skull Bound TV” puts women center stage as Waller brings a unique look to the world of hunting programming by tying in conservation, her unique skull designs and the interesting characters she encounters through her heart-pounding hunting adventures. Nominated for The Sportsman Channel Choice Awards “Best Combination Show” in its first season, “Skull Bound TV” brings a twist to the typical hunting or fishing series.

Episode 2 features Waller on an exciting archery elk hunt in Oregon and although never presented with an opportunity to draw her bow, she returns three weeks later to score on a mule deer buck nicknamed “Skyscraper.” This episode airs on January 9, 2013, along with a feature on the MDF during the “Conservation Minute.”

“Jim and Jana are avid hunters, conservationists and media pros who have shown their support for mule deer and MDF,” said MDF CEO and President Miles Moretti. “We are looking forward to expanding upon our relationship with ‘Skull Bound TV’ during MDF’s 25th Anniversary year.”

Along with featuring the incredible works of the MDF, “Skull Bound TV” also features the conservation efforts of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, The National Wild Turkey Federation, as well as Safari Club International and its foundation.
