MDF Coordinating Efforts to Feed Wildlife in Northern Utah

A decision was made on Feb. 1, 2008, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) to begin an emergency feeding program for wildlife affected by recent snow storms in the northern part of the state.

Mike Laughter, Regional Director for the Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) in Utah, was contacted by DWR's Justin Dolling for help coordinating volunteers for the feeding efforts. Tooele Chapter Spotlight
By Cindy Mosteller

It all started back at a 2006 ISE show when Regional Director, Mike Laughter, and I sat down to discuss how a chapter begins and operates for the Mule Deer Foundation. We’ll come back to that later, but first, let’s move ahead to December 2006. More ...

Uintah Basin Chapter,
Most Improved in 2007.

Uintah Basin, Evolving into a Fund Raising Machine

At the 2007 National Convention, the Uintah Basin Chapter received the award for “Most Improved Chapter.” What this means is that this chapter showed the most improvement in overall net dollars and banquet efficiency (net-to-gross) between the 2005 and the 2006 banquets. After recently completing their 2007 banquet and fundraiser, we are asking ourselves if it is possible for a chapter to receive this same award two years in a row. Although there are still many banquets to be completed in 2007, the Uintah Basin chapter has made a very strong case to receive this award in back to back years. And who knows, they may be in the running to do it 3 years in a row if their upward trend continues. More ...
