MDF Chapter Rewards
Youth and Women Hunter Education
Between 2002 and 2006, through the use of the Chapter Rewards, the Pass The Buck, Northern Front Range, and Mile High Chapters have partnered with the Colorado Division of Wildlife and Sportsman's Warehouse to sponsor over 500 women and youth in Hunter Education.
Some specific examples include:
- For just $112.43, the Denver Mile High chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation was able to sponsor a Youth Hunter Education class Aug. 19-20, 2006. MDF Chapter Rewards dollars were used to pay for training materials, postage, and administrative materials. Fifty-six children completed the course put on by the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
- The Denver Mile High Chapter provided a deer decoy for use in the youth and women hunter education program for the Colorado Division of Wildlife. MDF used $150 Chapter Rewards dollars to purchase the deer decoy from Sportsman’s Warehouse at cost. It was presented to Colorado Division of Wildlife staff on June 5, 2006.
- The Mule Deer Foundation's Pass The Buck Chapter in Rifle, Colo. sponsored a Youth Hunter Education class held April 1-2, 2006 in Silt, Colo. The use of MDF Chapter Rewards dollars allowed 20 children to participate in this hunter education course.
