Minnesota boasts one of highest bear populations in the United States. Arrowhead Wilderness Lodge is located in northeastern Minnesota near Lake Superior. The area hunted is in Superior National Forest and Finland State Forest. Bear densities are some of the highest in the state, with good numbers of big bears. Hunting is done over bait and we guarantee an active bait for every hunter. Comfortable and secure stands are placed for relatively close shots. Hunters are escorted to and from stands. Recovery, field dressing, skinning and meat care is all included as part of your stay. Arrowhead caters to all types of hunting – archery, rifle, muzzleloader and hand gun. Minnesota has a lottery for bear tags and we will assist you with your application. The hunting area has a high draw success rate.
We hunt an area of approximately 25 mile radius around the lodge. Much of the hunting is done from ATV's. You are welcome to bring your own machines. We have been hunting this area since 1978 with outstanding success. We average over 80% of our hunters having a good opportunity to take a bear. You will find our knowledge of bears entertaining and educational.
We cater to your guest on your hunt as well. There are good opportunities for sightseeing with many tourist attractions within a reasonable drive. The area is also known for good fishing as well. Grouse hunting and archery deer hunting can be added the third week of the bear hunt. Brian and Donovan along with their guides and staff will insure that you have a quality hunt and guarantee you a comfortable stay at Arrowhead Wilderness Lodge. Offered by the Mule Deer Foundation. Nevada’s elk herds continue to expand and grow with the statewide population at an all time high of over 11,000 elk! The trophy bull hunter in Nevada has so many choices to search for that elusive 400-class bull than they had a decade ago. Whether it is the awe-inspiring aspen groves of the Monitor Range or high elevation mahogany patches of the Schell Creek and Egan Ranges, our older established herds continue to produce huge bulls. But, even more exciting, are new areas that are only now being explored and hold monster bulls that have seen very limited hunting pressure. The White Pine and Cherry Creek Ranges, and the Clover and Delamar Mountains are just a few new areas that have the potential to produce the new state record bull! This tag allows any licensed hunter to take one elk by any legal weapon. This tag is valid in all elk management unites open in the 2010 season. Offered by the Mule Deer Foundation.
